Actuators
ProActTM III & IV Electromagnetic Actuators
Producing 10 and 20 ft-lb transient work respectively, the ProActTM III and IV actuator systems are for actuation of larger diesel, gas, and gasoline engines. These systems are well suited for engines without a mechanical drive or hydraulic-oil supply.
The UG-Actuator and UG40 Actuator offer the advantages of electronic control and load sharing systems while using the convenient, existing UG-type drives and linkages. The actuators provide the muscle for Woodward analog controls such as the 2301A, as well as Woodward digital controls such as the 500-series, 700-series, and the IGEMŽ engine management system. The actuators can be used with diesel, gasoline, or natural gas engines, as well as with steam and industrial gas turbines. The actuators have a self-contained oil sump so a separate oil supply is not required.
The EG-3P (proportional) and EG-3PC (proportional with compensation) actuators are designed for use on diesel, gas, and gasoline engines, or turbines, and are particularly well suited for use in control systems requiring a proportional mechanical output of a proportional electrical input.
The EGB-10P, 13P, or 35P Governor/Actuator is used with Woodward analog or digital electronic controls that provide a proportional 20-160 mA signal to control dual fuel, diesel, and gasoline engines and gas and steam turbines driving electrical or mechanical loads. The governor/actuator provides 1-500 ft-lbs work capacity to position fuel racks or linkage.
The Woodward PGA-EG Governor / Actuator is designed specifically for marine applications requiring electronic engine control with mechanical backup. The Governor / Actuator combines the proven dependability of the hydro-machanical PG Governor with the flexibility of an electronic control.
The mechanical governor features pneumatic tracking of the speed setiing, which gives complete backup speed control from a remote location, with only a slight change in engine speed should the electronic signal fail.
The PGA-EG can be used with a variety of Woodward electronic controls. The backup hydro-mechanical Governor gives in redundant speed control for critical marine needs.
Outputs from 12 to 500 ft-lbs allow use on all sizes of marine engines. The Actuator portion of the PGA-EG requires a 0-200 mA control signal. This is compatible with all Woodward electonic controls.
